Endgame workprintJust before Endgame hit the theaters, Highlander fans in New York City attended a launch party and were treated to a showing of a workprint — an early version of the film — courtesy of a party attendee in the know. Soon after Endgame was released, the workprint started showing up in an alt.binaries newsgroup, on video CDs being auctioned on eBay, and even as an item for sale from a shady New York street vendor. Is it worth forking out money for the workprint... especially when the upcoming Endgame DVD is going to carry the version of the film shown in theaters plus a second longer version... especially when a director's cut may also be released? Most importantly, is there extra footage of Methos in the workprint?! Well, the conversation between Duncan and Methos is slightly longer — but slightly longer on next to nothing is still next to nothing.
