This is my other best friend, Joseph Dawson.

He hasn't tried to take my head — but then, he's a mortal. He does, however, like to insult me on a regular basis:

Joe: Is it just me or is this guy really being a jerk? (Messenger)

Joe: You are one calculating son of a bitch. (Messenger)

Joe: You really can be an arrogant pain in the ass sometimes. (Valkyrie)

Joe, are you trying to tell me something?

Sometimes Joe tries too hard to win the Hypocrite of the Year award:

Joe: Just 'cause you couldn't keep it in your pants 200 years ago, you expect me to turn over the Chronicles? (Indiscretions)

Right, Joe. And just because you couldn't keep it in your pants 25 years ago, you expect me to risk my life to rescue Amy?

But when it comes down to it, Joe does stick up for me — even though he was wrong in this case (sorry, Joe):
